SOUTHERN PACIFIC STAGING

• This is the holding track for interchange traffic originating from or destined to the Southern Pacific south of Chico
• The staging track is the lower half of the helix located underneath Redding. (The helix connects the lower level deck to the upper level deck)
• This track is reached by leaving the Santa Fe main at the right-hand turnout at Durham Highway south of Chico Wye Tower
• The Southern Pacific has trackage rights into New Chico yard beginning at the turnout at Durham Highway
